Lovely story, I also enjoy your cute diy transition graphics

And I’m amusing myself with the idea that the entire story was just to hype up Zora’s recipe at the end like one of those cooking blogs that has 1000 word essays before sharing the recipe you actually came for

Andrew! This is such a lovely story, told in such a lovely way.

Thank you, Ryan! Honestly, as I was finishing it I thought, “this almost feels like one of Ryan’s essays.” I’m glad you liked it!

Yes, let’s build cities that prioritize kids, but don’t give away your daughter’s IP

I think you left out some important details.

Did she get a permit from the city to do business on municipal land?

Did she pay proper taxes, and pay into the state disability plan? What if she burned her fingers?

I hope it's obvious I'm joking, and it's amazing you're giving her this experience

Great job, Zora! Great job, parents! And, Andrew, please PLEASE build that city. My family would LOVE to live there! It’s our dream, too.

> I know now that cell phones existed in the 90s, but I hadn’t seen or heard of them at the time. My Dad could whistle very loudly — when he did, I knew it was time to come home.

Loved this line

Shouldn't have commented before finishing the piece - I teared up at the ending:

> “I earned enough for Denver!” she exclaimed.

> I told her I was proud of her.

> And I hope, that if I do my best, she’ll be able to say that as an adult.

Love the way this was written! I think about this a lot - how do I afford a liveable, walkable city for my future kids
